First Choice Power Sponsors Recycling for Western Day
Lewisville, TX (PRWEB) September 25, 2008 -- First Choice Power and the City of Lewisville will partner to reduce the number of plastic bottles and aluminum cans going to landfills during this year's Western Day Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. More than 10,000 participants will be encouraged to dispose of their recyclables in the First Choice Power red "Recycle Here" boxes.
"First Choice Power is proud to support Lewisville's efforts to help protect the environment," said Jeff Weiser, president of First Choice Power.
The Western Day Festival has been a Lewisville tradition for many years, said Lisa Weaver, Environmental Programs Coordinator for the City of Lewisville.
"It will be the first time Lewisville will recycle during the event," Weaver said. "Our partnership with First Choice Power will significantly reduce trash at the event and educate hundreds of families on how a simple task such as recycling makes a positive impact on our environment."
